Piers Morgan trolled after 'flying 5,500 miles' only to miss England Test match

Fans have trolled Piers Morgan after the controversial TV host revealed he flew 5,500 miles from Los Angeles to London to watch day four of the first Test between England and South Africa, only for Ben Stokes' side to lose the match on day three.

Taking to Twitter, Morgan wrote: "I've just flown 5500 miles from Los Angeles specifically to be at Lord's @HomeOfCricket tomorrow for Day 4 of the Test match. *There may not be a Day 4."

And England were comprehensively beaten by South Africa on day three, with Dean Elgar's side bowling them out for just 149 inside 38 overs to complete a memorable victory by an innings and 12 runs. Aside from Ollie Pope's 73 in the first innings, no other England batter passed 35 as South Africa's bowlers dominated.
