Piers Morgan is set to return to the screens in his new show, Uncensored. The Daily Star reports Piers, 56, has confirmed that his primetime TV show on new channel TalkTV will be launching on April 25.
The host said on Twitter: “I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the cancel culture which has infected societies around the world. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”
The new global show will go on air with the UK launch of TalkTV on linear TV platforms Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat. Uncensored will also air on Fox Nation in the US and Sky News in Australia.
The show is described as a “fearless forum for lively, intelligent debate and agenda-setting interviews, celebrating free speech and the right for people to share their views”. Morgan has also exacted the "ultimate revenge" on his former bosses at ITV by poaching the six key production staff from the channel to come over to lead his primetime show.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction. One said: “I will be watching.
"I like this man @piersmorgan, he's a great journalist and excellent show host. I really missed him at Good Morning Great Britain."
A second said: “We look forward to seeing you back on the screen and look forward to the topics you will be discussing. Take no notice of the negative tweets Piers, we'll be watching - can't wait.”
However, some weren’t so complimentary. One said: “This guy has no clue about anything."
Winnie Dunbar Nelson, executive editor of Piers Morgan Uncensored, said: “Piers will be back on your screens with a bang and we promise a line-up of exciting guests, big opinions, and thought-provoking debate. We can’t wait to get started.”
