Piers Morgan has led the tributes to Susanna Reid as she celebrated the “amazing achievement” of 20 years working in breakfast TV.
The journalist, 52, first hit screens in 2003 as a co-presenter on BBC Breakfast, working alongside Charlie Stayt and the late Bill Turnbull in the position until 2014.
That same year saw her jump ship to ITV as a host of Good Morning Britain, working with the likes of Morgan, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

Reid acknowledged the milestone during Wednesday’s episode of the show, saying how it was a “shame” not to be able to commemorate the occasion with Turnbull, who died of prostate cancer last year at the age of 66.
Her friends and former colleagues rushed to offer their congratulations over on social media.
“Congrats to my ex-TV wife @susannareid100 on her 20th anniversary of presenting breakfast TV,” wrote Morgan, who left GMB in 2021.
Hailing Reid’s two decades in breakfast TV an “amazing achievement,” he joked that he missed her rolling her eyes at him along with a picture of her doing just that.

GMB’s Noel Philips meanwhile declared her the “GOAT [greatest of all time] of morning telly.”
Also getting in on the well-wishes was Lorraine Kelly. The Scottish TV presenter shared a special message live on-air for her ITV colleague.
“More congratulations,” she trilled. “Twenty years on breakfast TV. We got you a wee gift, it’s very silly.”
Reid was then presented with a “platinum” award, as Kelly quipped: “How silly is that?”

Modest Reid interjected, telling Kelly: “You’re the queen of breakfast telly.”
Topping off her day of celebrations, Reid said she was “so proud” after GMB received a Bafta TV Award nomination for her interview with Boris Johnson in the news coverage category.
SO PROUD of our @gmb team - such a prestigious award in journalism. And a significant way to mark 20 years in breakfast television 🏆#BAFTATVAwards https://t.co/3jpJP8DKjz
