Piers Morgan appears to have disappeared from Twitter altogether amid reports he was 'hacked'. The former Good Morning Britain star is usually very active on the social media platform, regularly sharing updates on his own life and career as well as commentating on some of the biggest stories.
However, Piers appears to have been silenced after fans were left shocked in the early hours to Tuesday when he seemingly began sending out abusive messages on Twitter. Those following the controversial TV star and journalist watched as he sent out tweets including slurs against the late Queen Elizabeth II and pop star Ed Sheeran.
According to the Mirror, Piers' account name was changed a number of times - including being changed to ‘lol’ and also ‘Michael’ - while more colourful language was also used to rename his account.

After approximately an hour of chaos, the publication claims, it appeared that Twitter bosses took control of the situation as most of the offensive tweets were suddenly wiped from the account.
However, at the time of writing, it appears Piers' account, which boasts millions of followers, had been completely wiped with no tweets appearing while images that had been in his profile and banner had also appeared to have been removed, bringing an end to the 57-year-old's online ordeal.
While those responsible had access, Piers' followers reportedly asked for them to hunt through his private messages in hunt of his claimed exchange with Meghan Markle. The TalkTV star has been notoriously critical of the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry.
Earlier this month, following the release of Volume 1 of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries, entitled simply Harry & Meghan, Piers slammed the show as 'worse than Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and later said that it was "disgusting" how Meghan and Harry appeared to brand Britain 'a racist country'.
Following the release of Volume 2 on December 15, the dad-of-three again took to social media to comment and he mocked the couple of his 'appearance' in the final three episodes, which focus on Harry and Meghan's decision to step back as senior royals. During the series, as the Duke and Duchess discussed a turn in their relationship with the media after a lengthy tour of Australia, an audio clip aired of Piers describing Meghan as a 'rockstar' that was 'not a good thing' for the family.
Piers was heard saying: 'Putting aside what I think about her, she's becoming a royal rockstar. Bigger, I would argue as a couple, than William and Kate. That's probably not a good thing in the long term."
Reacting to his cameo in the docuseries, which saw the first release watched by millions across the world, Piers tweeted: "I'm being regularly heard/quoted in this second instalment of the Megsflix whine-a-thon." Mocking the couple, he added: "I'm traumatised by this terrible invasion of my privacy."
