"Just like London, Aubameyang's a blue," you can imagine Chelsea fans thinking. On top of the former Arsenal players to end up at Stamford Bridge Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang added his name to the list this summer and has made his allegiances extremely clear.
The Gabon striker, less than nine months after being a Gunner, is now a blue. The convoluted transfer process to get him from Barcelona to London was tough and Thomas Tuchel being sacked just hours after Aubameyang's debut raised questions as to why the 33-year-old had joined, but the striker will still be a key player under Graham Potter.
Having started both of the matches he has been available for since coming to Chelsea, Aubameyang hasn't hit the ground running but it has been a strange start for him.

He looked lively against Dinamo Zagreb but faded as his team also fell off and against Salzburg he was peripheral during his time he was on the pitch. He is building his way back to fitness though and has had to deal with being threatened and physically assaulted at his home before leaving Barcelona.
For new manager Potter, Aubameyang is the senior striker in a team that has a massive goalscoring issue, and that alone makes him a vital player. Even with Armando Broja breathing down his neck, Aubameyang and his confident character will be expecting to return after the international break - one that he is spending at Cobham - ready to help his new team and manager.
Until then Chelsea fans would be understood to be unsure about the deal so far; if it made sense, if it still makes sense and what Aubameyang can offer their side. They have now at least been given a taste of the energy that the forward can bring.
In a video posted on Instagram, Aubameyang is seen dancing while wearing his own Chelsea away shirt with glasses glasses and a cap whilst surrounded by members of his family, who are also wearing the white away top.
Although Arsenal are top of the league and currently playing much more confidently and consistently than Chelsea, seeing a former captain show his admiration for his new club is a small win heading into an international break.
