Fans of the Boston Celtics have seen this movie too many times, and in their tilt vs. the Los Angeles Lakers at TD Garden on Thursday night, it had the same embarrassing ending as the Lakers won 114-105. Los Angeles led nearly wire-to-wire save for the few moments the Celtics actually respected their opponent and played like there was an NBA team on the other end of the court.
Another predictable example of an immature team looking past an opponent because of injury coming back to bite them unfolded to the chagrin of fans. And if this team plays like this against top teams (never mind middling ones with multiple starters out), the only thing they will be hanging this summer is their heads in shame at an early postseason exist.
