Phillip Schofield made a cheeky jibe at Stephen Mulhern as he tuned into Dancing On Ice from home.
The This Morning presenter is isolating at home after testing positive for coronavirus, and is unable to make the show to present alongside Holly Willoughby. Popular television presenter Stephen Mulhern is stepping in for Phil.
From his home, Phillip filmed the intro of Dancing On Ice as Holly and Stephen addressed his absence.
Holly said: "For the first time in history, he won't be here, but I know he's watching at home. We're sending you lots of love Phil. However, the lovely Stephen Mulhern has stepped in."
"Yes I am here," Stephen added as he was greeted by a round of applause, "I am here. Thank you, thank you."
Alongside the video, Phillip admitted it was an "experience he never expected to have" as he watched the show from home.
He wrote: "Well this is an experience I never expected!! I'm loving watching at home with a G&T!! Enjoy Stephen Mulhern!"
A little bit into the show, he took to social media to make a joke as Stephen admitted he was loving hosting the programme.
"Not too much fun Mulhern, I know where you live," he wrote alongside the clip.
Earlier this week, Phillip said he was "devastated" to not be on Dancing On Ice this weekend, as he gave fans an update on his health. He shared a snap of his positive Covid tests, as he wished Stephen - who is filling in for him - the best.
"Did two tests to be absolutely sure," he wrote alongside a photo of his lateral flows as he sent his support to his friend, "Sorry Dancing On Ice, have an amazing show. Stephen Mulhern, it'll be so fun."
In a statement, Stephen confessed he had "big shoes to fill" as he prepared for the presenting role.
"I’m very much looking forward to being back hosting alongside my good friend Holly this weekend. It’s big shoes to fill and I’m wishing Phillip a speedy recovery," he shared in a statement released by ITV, I'm a big fan of Dancing on Ice and for one night only I’m thrilled to be rink side watching the action unfold. It’s going to be unbelievable!"
