Phillip Schofield 'pinches' from ITV This Morning as he's caught red-handed in cheeky video

Phillip Schofield was caught red-handed as he 'pinched' from the This Morning studio. The presenter has been back at the helm of the ITV daytime show this week alongside co-star and pal Holly Willoughby.

During Tuesday's show (March 7), the hosting duo were joined by The Bay star Marsha Tomason, who plays DS Jenn Townsend in the ITV drama, to reveal all about the new series as well as Dr Nighat who was on hand to tell viewers the singles symptoms to look out for, how to treat it and why she thinks there has been a recent spike in cases and the TikTok famous couple with a 37-year age gap who shared their plans to start a family.

As for food, Gino D'Acampo was seen back home on the island of Sardinia where he headed to a cork factory before cooking up his delicious creamy vegetable risotto. Meanwhile, in the studio, Holly, 42, and Phillip, 60, were joined by Alex Hollywood who whipped up her one-pan Mexican-inspired chipotle chicken perfect for a weeknight dinner.

And it appears Phillip was a fan of the latter as he was seen nicking some of the chicken from the This Morning kitchen. Looking at the camera with the plate of food in his hand, the father-of-two said with a grin: "What?" As he started to walk off, a voice behind the camera laughed: "Come back with the chicken."

But the Oldham-born presenter continued to make his way off the set, periodically looking back and saying with a cheeky smile: "What?" He posted the video to Instagram with no caption but a message on the clip read: "@alexhollywood_1 your chicken was SO good, I've pinched it."

Earlier in the programme, Phillip halted the show to issue a clarification over Gino's segment. The celebrity chef was seen visiting Italy’s biggest cork factory before making a delicious creamy vegetable risotto. Teasing viewers as to what was to come on Gino's latest Italian adventure, Phillip said: "Lots on the way, including an Italian escape with Gino..."

A clip then started to play out and showed Gino talking about wine. He was heard saying: "What I really want to know is why Sardinian cork is so special. And how many corks do you produce a day?" To which the sommelier replied: "More or less, we produce two million corks."

But before viewers could see any more, Phillip jumped in as he corrected Gino's pronunciation of 'cork' in what could have been an X-rated blunder. With the word having been repeated multiple times, the clip abruptly ended and Phillip was quick to jump in, shouting: "No, no, no, stop!"

He continued: "He’s at a cork factory,’ stressing the particular word in question. "It's cork! A wine cork factory in Sardinia." The host then added: "There’s more from Gino and his questionable pronunciation." And it appears This Morning viewers were hearing just what Phillip was.

@coxyhockeychick tweeted: "Cork gino Cork!!! #ThisMorning," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. @shazabazza said: "I’m not hearing Cork on gino’s segment #thismorning." @StaceyCosens laughed: "Honestly who let Gino do a feature on cork #ThisMorning." But @Boppity_Boo34 commented: "He’s definitely saying cork #ThisMorning." And @zayneswrlda argued: "Holly and Phil thinking they are funny taking the p**s out of gino for saying cork, he said it fine and also it’s not his first language #ThisMorning."
