Former Everton defender Phil Jagielka is excited at the prospect of Frank Lampard leading his former side forward.
The ex-Toffees skipper spent 12 years on Merseyside from 2007-2019 and most recently joined Championship side Stoke City.
With Lampard now onto his third job in a relatively short managerial career so far, the 44-year-old has also already added Donny van de Beek to the Toffee's squad.
Dismissed from his role at Chelsea almost a year ago, the former England international will take charge of the team for the first time against Brentford this weekend.

Jagielka has expressed his delight at Lampard joining his former club, and speaking to Sky Sports News earlier today, began by stating: ''I'm excited to be honest.''
''The people that were put forward are British, you know Wayne [Rooney] was in there, Duncan [Ferguson], Frank's been there at Derby and a big club like Chelsea and had a pretty decent time there.
''It didn't work as well as he'd hoped and it was maybe difficult being such a big character as a player.
''I think the main thing is that i'm hoping were having this conversation again in 2-3 seasons time about him still being the manager of Everton. That's one thing I know for sure the fans want,'' concluded the former Derby defender.
With Rafa Benitez's tenure in north west coming to an end after just 6 months, Everton have now appointed their first British manager since Sam Allardyce joined in November 2017.
With the mood seemingly high as another new era rolls into action on Merseyside, Lampard will be tasked of turning around the fortunes of this current struggling Everton side.
