Phil Foden has been given the nod from Manchester City fans to lead the line in today’s title showdown with Liverpool.
The wait is almost over as the Premier League’s top two get ready to go head-to-head at the Etihad. With just one point separating City and Liverpool ahead of kick-off, many are viewing the game as this season’s title decider.
Such are the levels of the two sides that the Blues could deliver decisive blow in the race for the league crown should they come out victorious this evening. Much like the gap between them in the table, there is very little to choose between the pair.

City boss Pep Guardiola will be faced with a number of big decisions ahead of kick-off as he ponders his line-up. His biggest dilemma comes in attack, where he’ll have to decide on his best options to lead from the front.
Having made a big impact off the bench against Atletico Madrid in midweek, Foden will be pushing hard for a return to the starting line-up today. And the academy graduate has the backing of City’s supporters, who have picked him to head the hosts’ attack later today.
City fans have selected their line-up for today’s titanic encounter using MEN Sport’s interactive widget, with some big decisions made for the title showdown. As well as Foden, Raheem Sterling is also handed a start against his former club, with top scorer Riyad Mahrez the final component in the front three.
There are no surprises in midfield, with Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne getting the nod once again. With Ruben Dias still out injured though, there is another big decision to make in defence.
Fans have selected John Stones to line up alongside Aymeric Laporte at the heart of the back four ahead of Nathan Ake, with Kyle Walker returning after missing the 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid through suspension. Joao Cancelo claims his usual place at left-back, while Ederson is the familiar face in goal.
