A Ph.D. student in Pennsylvania is facing serious charges after allegedly killing her friend's newborn baby and abusing the infant's twin brother while babysitting them. Nicole Virzi, 30, has been charged with homicide, aggravated assault, and child endangerment in connection with the tragic incident.
The prosecution has revealed its intention to seek the death penalty against Virzi if she is convicted. The charges stem from the death of six-week-old Leon Katz, who was allegedly killed by means of torture. Virzi is also accused of abusing Leon's twin brother, Ari, while the parents were away.
