PFF hands Cooper Kupp, Ernest Jones highest grades for Rams in Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams had a forgettable outing in Week 1 versus the Buffalo Bills, but there were still a few notable performances from members of the Rams. With the Rams preparing to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, Cooper Kupp and Ernest Jones received two of the highest grades from PFF in Week 1 against Buffalo.

Kupp was the highest-graded offensive player, while Jones led the defense and the team overall.

To receive an 83.3 grade from PFF, Kupp caught 13 of his 15 targets from Matthew Stafford for 128 yards and a touchdown. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year would score the team’s lone touchdown while recording 112 more receiving yards than the rest of the skill players on the Rams combined.

Meanwhile, Jones was a bright spot on a defense that surrendered 31 points to Josh Allen and the Bills. The second-year inside linebacker tallied seven combined tackles (tied for second-most on the Rams) and a forced fumble in the lopsided loss.

Even though the season opener didn’t go as planned for the Rams, it was a positive sign to see Kupp and Jones put together the performances they did in Week 1.
