Two men have been charged with murder following the death of Orpington teenager Max Moy Wheatley.
The 19-year-old was stabbed in the heart at Jubilee Country Park, close to Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood, on the afternoon of September 20. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Billy Jay Benton, 18, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident.
Arvie-Ray Mehmet, 19, from Bellingham, was charged with murder.
Both men will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 2.
An investigation was launched after police were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a man stabbed in Jubilee Country Park.
Officers and the Kent Air Ambulance attended. Despite their efforts Mr Wheatley died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held on Friday September 22 gave cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
