Peter Mandelson faces new legal trouble after being caught urinating in public

  • Peter Mandelson is to be fined up to £300 by the The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for urinating in the street last year.
  • The fixed penalty notice will be issued once a suitable address for the peer is located, with the fine potentially reduced to £150 if paid within two weeks.
  • Images published by the Daily Mail showed Mandelson urinating in Notting Hill on 12 November, for which he previously offered "profuse apologies".
  • Separately, Lord Mandelson is under police investigation regarding his connections to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, having been arrested and released under investigation last month.
  • MPs are also demanding the publication of documents concerning the extent of Mandelson's links to Epstein before his appointment as US ambassador, with further disclosures anticipated.
