DISGRACED former ambassador Peter Mandelson was handed a briefing on Anas Sarwar despite his claim to be an “old friend”, The National can reveal.
The former Scottish Labour leader met with Mandelson during his diplomatic posting to the US and officials pointed out to the then-ambassador that Sarwar was a “Scottish politician” and also previously worked as a dentist, documents shared with this paper show.
