Peter Kay has reportedly been performing 'top secret' comedy shows for a select audience this week.
The comedian, 49, reportedly appeared at a theatre in Salford earlier this week and had 'new material' for the lucky fans who got to attend.
It was a huge moment for fans, as Peter has noticeable stepped out of the spotlight in recent years after he cancelled all work back in 2017 - including what would have been his first tour in eight years - due to 'unforeseen family circumstances'.
A fan, Paula, took to Twitter to tell others about the exciting show and said it was so confidential she assumed it was a 'scam at first'.
She wrote: "Omg just been to a secret gig with Peter Kay at The Lowry. Best night of my life ever, that guy is a legend.
"Phones in locked pounces, secret ticket collection, the lot. Still buzzing."
Others were curious about her Tweet and asked her to provide further details, but she kept things vague.
"It was the weirdest but best experience ever", she revealed.
"He is just such a grounded fella. The gig was really raw and unpolished which was what made it so personal."
The fan added the audience 'felt really lucky' and that Peter had been on the night before.
Peter has kept mostly out of the spotlight since announcing his hiatus in 2017.
The star has made a few appearances, including at the Ivor Novello Awards and Big Night In.
