Viewers of this year's Emmy Awards were loving Pete Davidson's apparent jab at Kanye West as the comedian took to the stage to present a gong.
The former Saturday Night Live star, 28, has been laying low since splitting from girlfriend of nine months Kim Kardashian, 41.
But he pleased his fans with an appearance at the annual awards ceremony, with many suggesting he chose his outfit to match rival Kanye, 45.
The actor stepped onto stage to present an award wearing a simple jacket with matching trousers and a pair of bold white sunglasses. The look mimicked Kanye's appearance at the Met Gala in 2019, which the rapper attended with then-wife Kim.
Taking to the stage, Pete poked fun at the ceremony's host and his former SNL co-star Kenan Thompson, taking light aim at their time on the show together.
He quipped: "This is just like SNL because Keenan is doing all the work and I’m refusing to say what the writers want."
He also mocked himself for never winning an Emmy before announcing Ted Lasso as the winner of the Outstanding Comedy Series.
But what he said didn't seem to matter to fans online who focused solely on his attire at the show.
One stunned user wrote on Twitter : "Not Pete Davidson dressed up like Kanye at the Emmy’s."
Another agreed, saying: "Pete Davidson looks like Kanye West dressed him," with a third adding: "Pete Davidson coming out of absolute nowhere to present the last award of the night. Looking like Kanye dressed him."
The comments continued to flow in with a similar theme, as another added: "It’s wild that Pete came out dressed like Kanye tonight."
However, it wasn't just Kanye who Pete was getting compared to with some fans complaining he looked like a bin man.
One user commented: "good for pete davidson for dressing like a garbageman for the emmys. After all, its only the Emmys."
And he was also compared to Halloween bad guy Michael Myers in further comments.
Pete's appearance comes after speculation it was him who decided to call time on his relationship with reality TV star Kim last month.
His talk show host mate Johnny Potenza claimed it's more likely it was his decision as Kim carried too much baggage.
Speaking to The Sun, the man who gave Pete his start in TV in 2010 said: "She’s 20 years older, she has four kids and she was married to Kanye West who was always making trouble for them.
“Kanye was picking fights and calling him names. For a man his age it was childish – a pathetic love drama. Most of the people I know in Staten Island were saying it wouldn’t last."
