Pete Davidson has sparked rumours that his romance with Kim Kardashian is all 'staged' after fans unearthed a 'suspicious' video of the comedian.
The Saturday Night Live star, 28, has been dating the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star since October 2021, and the lovebirds appear to have gone from strength-to-strength in a matter of months.
Kim, 41, recently described funny-man Pete as 'the one' and even hinted at starting a family with the Statan Island star.
However, eagle-eyed fans have now started to question the authenticity of the couple's romance after they uncovered an old video of Pete making reference to reality TV icon Kim.
Back in February, Pete raised eyebrows when he spoke to PEOPLE in a virtual interview from his bedroom in Staten Island.
The comedian was left rather embarrassed when the interviewer, Kay Adams, spotted a subtle gesture he had made to his new girlfriend in the background of the virtual interview.
"Is that a Kardashian candle over your other shoulder? I've got good eyes," she quipped.
In response to her question, Pete - who looked rather red-faced after his Kim candle was exposed to the world - said: "Yes, it is. That is. That is exactly what that is."
The cute video has since re-emerged onto Reddit, where fans are no debating whether or not the candle was purposely placed in front of the camera to gain attention.
One reddit user called out Pete and accused the comedian of purposely 'staging' his romance with Kim.
"The way the candle was placed was quite suspicious. It was the first thing I saw during the interview," they insisted.
While another echoed: "He so obviously placed that candle in the view so the conversation would lead to his relationship with Kim. Authentic much?"
"Pete is living for the clout he's getting from hooking up with Kim. This interview just proves it," someone else complained.
Although Pete and Kim kept their relationship on the down-low for the first couple of months amid the reality TV icon's bitter divorce with ex-husband Kanye West, the pair are now flashing their love story all over social media.
Earlier this month, Pete and Kim made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala where Kim donned Marilyn Monroe's iconic gold gown.
