Pets mean more to an individual than anyone can imagine, and one such story is of an Instagram influencer named Yati. He shared a heartfelt story of how he adopted his dog Butter, and together they’ve been exploring India since 2020. He shared that Butter is the only dog to have walked over 15,000 kms. Yati shared a video where he shared his story. He mentioned how he met Butter several years ago and decided to adopt her. However, what he didn’t know then was that Butter would run and escape to find him. This touched his heart, and he adopted her. Together, they’ve been walking across the country and have been exploring different places.
While sharing the video, he wrote, “I started my solo walk in 2020. About a month into it, I found this small pup in a village in Rajasthan. I tried getting her adopted, but she got lost. Somehow, she kept coming back to me. I tried again. This time, she ran away from the adopter and came back to the homestay where I was staying. It was about 12 kilometers away. She did this twice.”
He further said, “That’s when I stopped trying to fight it. I took it as a sign and decided to adopt her. I trained her for a month, and our first walk together was to Badrinath. After that, we just kept going. She’s walked across 13 states with me, covering close to 15,000 kilometers. Forests, villages, cities she’s seen it all. She stays wherever I stay. If she’s not allowed somewhere, I don’t go.”
While concluding his story, Yati shared, “Butter is loved everywhere we go. She’s my walking partner, my travel companion, and honestly, family. She also shows what Indie dogs are really about—strong, resilient, and full of love. That’s how Butter became part of my journey.”
The video received love from people across the country. While some shared stories related to their pets, others praised the bond between Yati and his pet dog, Butter.
