A pet has died and its owner has been injured after they were attacked by three Belgian mixed husky dogs.
The incident happened in the Crymlyn Burrows area between Swansea and Neath, Wales, just before 10.30am on June 4.
Police say the injured man was walking with his dog when they were mauled - and officers have now appealed for any witnesses to come forward, reports Wales Online.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Just before 10.30am on Sunday morning, 4th June, we received a report of a dog being attacked on Crymlyn Burrows, Neath.
"A man was walking with his dog when both he and his dog were attacked by three other dogs. Anyone with information should get in touch by one of the below means quoting occurrence 2300182452."
PC Ben Brookfield added: "The man has suffered injuries to his hands and legs and his dog died as a result of the attack.
"We are appealing for any witnesses that saw three Belgian mixed husky breeds – one jet black; one black and white; the other brown and white and all wearing K9 harnesses – in the area around the time of the attack to come forward and assist us with our enquiries.
"I would also encourage anyone who may know the owner of the three dogs to get in touch."
