Perth pub owners apply to form new rooftop seating area

The national pub chain in charge of the Capital Asset by the River Tay in Perth is seeking permission to make changes to the B-listed building to form a new rooftop area for diners and drinkers.

JD Wetherspoons has applied for planning consent and listed building consent to make alterations to the Tay Street pub which would see the proposed new seating area formed at the rear of the former bank.

The company is also seeking permission to extend the pub’s kitchen area through the same applications so staff can cater for the increased number of customers the building could accommodate under the proposal.
