Pep Guardiola can add three players into his thoughts for Newcastle after a productive week at Manchester City - but may have lost some from the Bournemouth match.
Kalvin Phillips and Cole Palmer have recovered from the respective problems that kept them out of the 4-0 home win on Saturday, boosting the City squad for their trip to St James' Park. On top of that, new signing Sergio Gomez has been deemed ready to travel and immediately provide competition with Joao Cancelo for the starting left-back spot.
Despite that, while Guardiola would not provide any names he did say that some players were carrying niggles into the game - a term that the manager enjoys using that can often mean stars are not fit enough to be involved in a matchday. Liam Delap, who was on the bench against Bournemouth, has also departed on loan to Stoke City for the season.

"We have long weeks of training then we start the next month of September trying to improve our principles and our game," said the manager. "The best way to see how is the team in that moment is during the game.
"The last two games were really really good and some point unexpected but the players prove to me again how wrong I was because they did it really well. But we have to continue in that way."
City won 4-0 towards the end of last season on their last trip to Newcastle, although Eddie Howe's side have started the season positively with four points from their opening two games.
