Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has emphasised the need for his team to move on from their defeat 1-0 defeat against Liverpool.
Having battled with Jurgen Klopp's side for the Premier League title in recent years, City have enjoyed a far stronger start to the 2022/2023 campaign than their Merseyside foes and currently sit 10 points ahead of the Reds.
However, their trip to Anfield nearly two weeks ago would ultimately end in a narrow 1-0 defeat for Guardiola's men. A VAR call prevented City from taking the lead against Liverpool, with Mohamed Salah's strike ensuring Guardiola's men headed home empty-handed.

Prior to City's Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, Guardiola reminded his players not to dwell on past results and demanded they always look to the future. "These are tight games, we lost the game (vs Liverpool) but we have to move on," he told BT Sport.
"We can win, we can lose, but we suffer in the bad moments and try to win in the good moments."
When defender Rúben Dias was questioned about the loss against Liverpool, he echoed his manager's words and emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive mindset amidst a disappointing result.
The Portugal international told BT Sport: "Sometimes from a less positive thing, you gain more positive things, it’s about positivity.
"You have to accumulate positives, even though something bad happens and it’s football, we know we have to keep moving forward. I think that mentality gives us consistency."
Leicester are City's next opponents when they return to domestic football this weekend. Three points at the King Power Stadium would see the visitors move top of the table before Arsenal host Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
