People treated by paramedics after Nottinghamshire village house fire

Two people were treated by paramedics after a house fire in a Nottinghamshire village. Crews from three fire stations attended the incident on Sherwood Avenue in Blidworth.

It began at around 8.40pm on Saturday (April 9), with those attending coming from fire stations in Mansfield, Edwinstowe and Arnold. The fire was described as affecting a domestic property on the road.

Crews used one jet and two breathing apparatus in extinguishing the fire. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue says two occupants of the house were given first aid by fire crews.

They were then handed into the care of paramedics from the East Midlands Ambulance Service. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue says crews eventually left the scene at around 10pm.
