A photo of unearthed postboxes has gone viral on twitter - and people can't believe it.
The photo shows the iconic red Royal Mail postboxes are much bigger than many think they are.
The photo shows three postboxes that have been unearthed, uncovering a large section that is dug into the ground, the Mirror reports.
It was originally shared by twitter user @fecklessfox100 - who said about the discovery "Today is the day I learnt that they're not just attached to the floor!"
People couldn't believe the photo, which was shared by Instagram account @TheArchbishopOfBanterbury and has been liked more than 115,000 times.
The photo has received thousands of comments from amazed Instagram users - who had no idea what the iconic red postboxes actually looked like.
One simply commented "What the actual f***?!"
Another mirrored the sentiment saying "Sorry what???"
A third made a keen observation, saying that "It's like seeing a teacher outside of school."
Some commenters joked that it is why they have trust issues, and one branded it "Post Office wizardry".
