A woman has divided the internet after she mistakenly cut into her best friends wedding cake before the bride and groom had a chance.
Posting a video of the moment on TikTok, a blissfully unaware friend can be seen walking over to the special cake and helping herself.
Wedding guest Hailey shared the clip of the reception, as she skipped over to the cake before grabbing a knife and slicing into the pristine white icing, complete with bride and groom toppers.

After putting a slice on her plate, she licks the frosting off her fingers, before she is approached by another guest who is presumably about to break the news to her that she acted too soon.
Hailey captioned the clip: "My apologies to the bride & groom.”
According to the video, Hailey was unaware of her mistake at the time, as she thought the cake had already been served.
She said: “"Ignoring the brownie table and confidently cutting myself a slice of HER WEDDING CAKE thinking uh-oh! They forgot to serve it to everyone else!"
"I know better now, I hate myself!"
The video went viral, amassing nearly over 20 million views and thousands of comments.
People were left divided by Hailey’s actions with some claiming they would never speak to someone again if they had cut into their cake on their wedding day.
They said: “this made me angry and it's not my wedding.”
Another said: “Noooo pls because I would never talk to you again”.
While a third commented: “The way we would no longer be on speaking terms.”
Others felt the guest had tried to steal the limelight saying: “Successfully making this wedding about you”.
However, all seems to be forgiven after the bride herself commented on the post saying: “…as the bride whose cake this is - SHE IS FORMALLY FORGIVEN AND HAS LEARNED HER LESSON IN WEDDING ETIQUETTE”.
To which one person replied: “Omg so I see that the bride commented forgiving you but I still need to go through my own emotional process with this one”.
