Robin Koch has had a frustrating time since moving to Leeds United. The German international moved to Leeds from SC Freiburg after the club were unable to convince Brighton to do a deal for Ben White in the summer of 20/21 and he signed just a week before the season opener against Liverpool.
Unfortunately for Koch, he picked up an injury to his knee in his very first game for the club and whilst he was able to play on it for the early months of the season, he ultimately needed surgery on it. Diego Llorente was signed as another option at right-sided centre back in the knowledge that Koch would be out of action for some time.
Subsequently, a combination of factors, including a pelvis injury which ruled the German out of 16 games in the first half of this season, as well as an injury to Kalvin Phillips on his return, have meant that Koch has barely featured in his preferred position since joining the Whites.
