Police have launched an investigation after a pensioner was headbutted at a Morrison's car park and left with injuries to his face and nose. Cheshire Police were called to reports of the assault on Chester Road in Ellesmere Port on at around 10am on Thursday (November 24).
The family of the 75-year-old man are pleading for any witnesses of the attack to contact police. His family have also shared a post on social media saying that the alleged attacker was driving a silver BMW.

The pensioner's daughter-in-law Jennifer Patin told CheshireLive: "He is 75, the only thing I can say is it could have been a lot worse if he'd have knocked him out and he'd have fallen and his grandchildren are heartbroken.
"There were people around and we just beg them to come forward."
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of their investigation. His distraught family say there were people around at that time and they hope that any witnesses will get in touch with police.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 10.15am on Thursday 24 November, police were made aware of a report that a man had been assaulted following an altercation in Morrisons car park on Chester Road, Ellesmere Port.
"The incident happened at around 10am. Enquiries are ongoing and contact has been made with the victim to schedule an appointment."
