Pennsylvania amusement park named best in US – and it’s free to enter

  • Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, has been named the top amusement park in the US in TripAdvisor's recently released 'Best of the Best' list.
  • The family-owned park, established in 1926, is America's largest free-admission amusement park, although individual rides require payment.
  • Knoebels received a 4.7 rating from nearly 3,000 reviewers and offers over 100 rides, including thrill coasters like Impulse and the historic Phoenix.
  • Beyond rides, the resort features amenities such as swimming, camping, a mining museum, and an 18-hole golf course.
  • Dollywood in Tennessee secured the second position, with Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Universal Island rounding out the top five.
