An elderly pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Bristol today (October 13). Cleeve Hill at Downend is closed near Badminton Road following the incident involving a blue Peugeot Partner Tepee.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service at around 9.42am where the pedestrian - a man in his 80s - suffered 'potentially life-changing injuries'. His next of kin are aware.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told Bristol Live: "Police have closed Cleeve Hill, Downend, following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car. Officers were alerted by the ambulance service at 9.42am on Thursday 13 October.

"The injured pedestrian - a man in his eighties - has gone to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries. His next of kin are aware. Cleeve Hill remains closed between Badminton Road and Cleeve Road for collision investigation and pending recovery of the vehicle, a blue Peugeot Partner Tepee."
