A pensioner was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car.
The 70-year-old woman is recovering in hospital following the incident on Ayres Road in Old Trafford on Wednesday morning.
Police have arrested a man, 27, who is being interviewed by detectives.
The crash happened on Ayres Road when a car hit the woman and also a tree at 9.20am.

Ayres Road was closed in both directions at the junction of Henrietta Street and St John's Road, and motorists were told to use other routes.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Pictures from the scene showed a badly damaged car on the pavement.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9.20am this morning (2 February 2022), police were called to reports of a collision on Ayres Road, Old Trafford between a car and a pedestrian.
"Enquiries have established that a car collided with a pedestrian before colliding with a tree.
"Emergency services attended and a 70-year-old woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
"A 27-year-old man has been arrested. He remains in custody for questioning."
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said both the motorist and pedestrian were taken to hospital from the scene.
Ayres Road was re-opened shortly after noon.
