Paulo Dybala sends Rodrigo Bentancur message as Tottenham confirm Tanguy Ndombele transfer

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Tuesday, February 1.

Dybala sends Bentancur message

Paulo Dybala has wished Rodrigo Bentancur "all the best" after the midfielder completed a permanent move to Tottenham on transfer deadline day.

Bentancur has signed for Spurs on a contract until 2026 for a deal that could eventually rise to around £20million and Dybala has now wished his former Juventus colleague the best of luck.

He posted an Instagram story of the two together, with the caption reading: "All the best brother! It was a huge pleasure to play with you, share so many trips and talks together... I'm going to miss you a lot!"

Ndombele signs for Lyon and sends Spurs message

Tanguy Ndombele has completed a loan move to Lyon until the end of the season with the French club having an option to make a deal permanent for the Tottenham midfielder.

The French midfielder fell down the pecking order under Antonio Conte and has now completed a temporary move, but Lyon - the club he initially joined Spurs from two-and-a-half years ago - can buy him for £54m in the summer.

He sent a message on Instagram after the move was confirmed, with his post caption reading: "An Instagram post read: "Happy to be back at @ol and happy end of the season to @spursofficial."

Murphy sends Kulusevski warning

Just prior to Dejan Kulusevski being confirmed as a Tottenham player, Danny Murphy sent the Sweden international a warning about how he could be deprived of minutes at Spurs.

Murphy said on talkSPORT: "He’s a powerful boy, left footed who likes to play on the right. (But) he’s not better than Moura, he’s not better than Son.

"His end product isn’t great. His numbers aren’t great. He’s strong, fit, steady, powerful. But it’s a strange one for me.

"The other lad, an elegant holding midfielder, Bentancur, he’ll make a difference to them.

"But Kulusevski… if you’ve got Moura and Son fit, he’s not gonna be playing in my book. I know you need strength in depth but Tottenham, I think, should be looking at players who are gonna be going into their XI and make them better."
