Paulo Dybala 'holds meeting in London' as Arsenal make transfer approach to his reps

Arsenal have held a meeting with the representatives of Paulo Dybala with a view to signing the forward as a free agent following his exit from Juventus.

The Argentine forward is leaving Turin at the end of the campaign as his contract expires. The Gunners are interested in making a move for the Argentine and have already held talks with his entourage to discover what terms he will seek.

Dybala, 28, is out of contract at Juve at the end of the season and was unable to agree to new terms with the Bianconeri. The club are resigned to losing Dybala on a free transfer and attention will quickly turn to his next move amid reported interest from Manchester United and the Gunners.

A report from ESPN outlines how a meeting between the North London club and the forward’s agents have been held in London, although the forward is also planning talks with other clubs across Europe as he plots his future.

Dybala has been the Turin club's top scorer this season with 15 goals and he has also chipped in with six assists, so it is little surprise that he has been linked with a high profile move to the Premier League. FootMercato has separately suggested that Dybala could move to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer.

The five-time Serie A winner posted an emotional tribute to the Juventus fanbase as he confirmed he would not be at the club next season, though it has been an open secret for quite some time - hence the interest from so many other outfits across the continent.

"It is difficult to find the right words to greet you, there are many years and many emotions involved, all together," he wrote on his Twitter profile. "I thought we would be together even more years, but fate puts us on different paths.

"I will never forget everything you made me experience, every game, every goal. With you I grew up, I learned, I lived and I dreamed. It has been 7 years of magic, 12 trophies and 115 goals that no one will take away from us. Never. Thank you for supporting me in difficult times.

"Tomorrow will be my last match with this shirt, it's hard to imagine, but it will be our last goodbye. It will not be easy, but I will enter the field with a smile and my head held high, knowing that I have given everything for you."

Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in the summer of 2015 and has bagged an impressive 115 goals across seven seasons, encompassing a total of 291 appearances.
