Paul Townend was given a five-day ban for his Champion Chase-winning ride on Energumene at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday.
The victory in the feature race on day two completed a double on the afternoon for the Cork jockey after his earlier success on Impaire Et Passe. Both horses are trained by Willie Mullins.
But stewards at the racecourse felt Townend allowed his horse "to drift left handed when insufficiently clear causing interference" and handed him a five-day ban.
