Paul Pogba reportedly outlines next club preference amid Arsenal and Chelsea transfer links

Paul Pogba is set for a new club this summer when his contract at Manchester United expires.

The France World Cup winner will almost certainly leave Old Trafford with no new deal signed and just two months of the season to go. Of course, he has had no lack of interest from Europe’s big-hitters, who will be able to bring in the 29-year-old on a free.

Among those tracking Pogba are said to be Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom will hope to strengthen their squads if Champions League football is secured. That said, their pursuit of Pogba has always been a long shot.

This week, Manchester Evening News reported that PSG have submitted an offer to the midfielder but that the player prefers a move to former club Juventus. And on Wednesday, Tuttosport backed this up.

Pogba would reportedly be open to a move to the Parc des Princes, but wants to see whether the Juventus door remains firmly shut before making a decision. The Serie A club are said to be not as strong as they once were financially due to the pandemic.

This saw the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur sold to Tottenham, with Dejan Kulusevski also loaned out to Spurs with an option to buy. Juventus would likely have to offload more players to sustain the acquisition of Pogba and his hefty wages.

Real Madrid also previously lodged interest in the playmaker, but this has cooled since Zinedine Zidane’s exit from the club. So in spite of his Juventus preference, Pogba looks most likely to feature for PSG next season, where Champions League success is arguably more probable. The French giants were left hugely disappointed as their star-studded squad was knocked out of this year’s competition by Real Madrid in the Round of 16.
