Paul O’Grady has left fans wiping away tears following a beautiful update on two injured dogs.
ITV star Paul, who presents For the Love of Dogs, took to Instagram on Thursday to share an adorable snap of two precious pooches who were left for dead after being hit by a car.
Following the hit and run accident, the adorable dogs were left for dead on the road - until a caring man called Chris stopped and saved their lives.
Sharing the inspiring story on Instagram, alongside a snap of the happy pooches who now walk with wheel aides after their legs were amputated, Paul gushed over the kindness of strangers as he shared Chris's amazing story.
“These two dogs are paraplegics after being hit by either a car or a motorbike. Chris from the UK came over as a volunteer. And years later he’s still here caring for these dogs along with his team.”
“Dogs are so resilient and can adapt to anything as these sets of wheels prove. They tear around the place with not a bother on them @elephantnaturepark.”
Following Paul's sweet snap, dogs lovers flocked to the comments to gush over the post.
"This has genuinely made me tear up. If it wasn't for Chris who knows what would have happened to these two beauties. Amazing," one penned.
"Be right back. Am just sobbing. This is such an amazing story. They look so happy," another echoed.
"Wow! I've never seen two dogs look so happy. If only there were more people in the world like Chris - and you of course Paul," someone else added.
While a fourth fan commented: "They are sooooo cute. Their little wheels oh my goodness."
"Incredible work Chris and Paul. Sending all the love to you both, and to those two precious dogs."
It comes after Paul recently shared a snap of his own pet pooch, Nancy, as fans were left gobsmacked at how the Jack Russell looked 'just like' his famous owner.
Over a thousand fans took to the comments section to share their sweet reactions and recalled watching Nancy on ITV's For The Love Of Dogs.
Coronation Street actor Angela Lonsdale commented: "She's beautiful.. giving you the side eye. I love that."
Some even thought the pooch resembled Paul himself, with one commenting: "Your dog looks a little like you very cute and funny little face."
"She's a looker Paul just like her owner," a second agreed, and a third said: "What a character.. just like her Dog Father."
Paul, who lives in Adlington, near Ashford, adopted Nancy two years ago from Battersea Cats & Dogs Home, after meeting her while filming his TV show.
