Paul Merson believes Chelsea will be too strong for Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues host Steve Cooper's side looking for back-to-back wins for just the second time since October after a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth last weekend. That result brought an end to six-match losing run under caretaker boss Frank Lampard, who will be taking charge of his penultimate home game at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea's opponents Forest remain locked in a four-way battle to avoid relegation but sit in a strong position after a crucial 4-3 win over Southampton on Monday. They have, however, struggled massively on the road this season having accumulated only six points from their 17 away matches, scoring just eight goals in the process.

Given Chelsea's tough end to the season with successive trips to the two Manchester clubs a home clash with Champions League chasing Newcastle United, Lampard will be keen to get another three points on the board here. Writing in his weekly Sportskeeda predictions column, Merson has backed Chelsea to do exactly that.
He said: “Nottingham Forest did very well against Southampton under pressure. But I think this is a game where Nottingham Forest are going to struggle to eke out a positive result.
“Chelsea haven’t been at their best but I don’t see how Forest are going to get the better of them.
“Forest might already be safe and might have enough points to survive the drop. I think Leicester, Leeds United and Southampton are destined for relegation.”
