New England Patriots wideout Kayshon Boutte had a positive message following a difficult no-catch in the team’s narrow 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Boutte recorded zero catches on four targets. He also appeared to struggle with the NFL’s catch rule, which calls for two feet inbounds as opposed to the one foot in college.
Buy Patriots TicketsOn the Patriots’ final offensive play of the game, quarterback Mac Jones found Boutte on a corner route for what would’ve been a first down. However, the rookie wide receiver did not get both feet inbounds. The failed fourth-down conversion gave the ball back to Philadelphia to ice the game.
Boutte posted on his Instagram story on Monday, acknowledging his mistake. He is also ready to turn the page and get better.
