On Monday, it was announced that New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne would be out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
This is a big hit to the team’s wide receiver room, and it takes away their most productive playmaker at the position.
Bourne was on his way to having another solid year. He had three catches for 36 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins on Sunday. He had 37 catches for 406 yards and four touchdowns on the year. Now, the Patriots must look to replace his production in what is an already thin wide receiver room.
Patriots Twitter was saddened by the news, as the injury hits keep coming for New England.

The Patriots are bad, let’s not get it twisted, but they’ve had wild injury luck.
Christian Gonzalez, Matthew Judon, Marcus Jones and Kendrick Bourne are all down for the season. That’s their best rookie, offensive player and defensive player — plus an All-Pro return specialist.

Kendrick Bourne is the team's leader in snaps, targets, and receptions at wide receiver. He is undoubtedly their WR1.

Two season-ending injuries in one day: Kendrick Bourne and now Kirk… so sad yo see.
— Braijon Williams (@B_Willz14) October 30, 2023
The Patriots mediocre offense even lost their best player for the season (Kendrick Bourne), and still I have not confidence that they won’t make Mac Jones look like Tom Brady Jr next Sunday 🤦🏽♂️
