New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson gave an encouraging update on his health status ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Oklahoma product injured his foot in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins. Stevenson has been the team’s leading rusher to this point in the season, as he has recorded 77 carries for 356 yards and four touchdowns.
The Patriots’ rushing attack struggled last week with quarterback Drake Maye leading the team with five rushing attempts for 38 yards on the day.
“I’m feeling like I should be ready to play on Sunday,” Stevenson told reporters.

New England will need Stevenson to help restore balance to the offense as they look to avoid a sixth straight loss. He should have plenty of opportunities to do damage against Jacksonville’s struggling defense.
