Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs are playing for the eternal glory of winning a Super Bowl on Sunday night in Las Vegas – but there’s also a hefty bonus on the line in Super Bowl LVIII.
The winning players of the 2024 Super Bowl will take home a cool $164,000 bonus, while the losing players will settle for $89,000.
Patrick Mahomes 2023-24 salary:
Mahomes signed a massive 10-year, $450 million extension in 2020, which pays him an easy to calculate annual average value of $45 million.
That money was spread creatively throughout the contract, however, via a contract restructure. Mahomes earned just $1,325,556 in base salary, one of the lowest base salary figures in the league.
The majority of his salary in 2023 came in the form of a roster bonus of $22.4 million, and other bonuses are included in his deal. In total, Mahomes’ cap hit amounted to $37,133,825, per Spotrac.
