Patients face ultrasound delays as health workers strike over pay

Patients who need non-urgent ultrasounds in Canberra's public hospitals will be forced to wait or face paying private fees as the sonographers who operate the machines vow to take rolling industrial action over pay talks.

The staff will refuse to see non-urgent patients for full shifts one day a week, their union said.
