Partner of missing Scot Shaun Banner 'sick with worry' as family begs for new info

The partner of missing man Shaun Banner says she is "sick with worry" after a family-organised search failed to turn up any news on his whereabouts.

Shaun, 34, was last seen in Invergordon in the Highlands in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police say the last known sighting of the dad was close to the Easter Ross town's railway station shortly after midnight on April 23.

Today, his partner Bexy Ross has issued an appeal for information in the hope that Shaun can be tracked down safe and well.

She said on Facebook: "'Sick with worry' doesn’t even come close. Please Shaun just let someone know you're okay!

Shaun Banner's family say they are "desperate" for new information (Facebook)

"If anyone knows where he is even if he’s just hiding please even make an anonymous phone call to let us know he’s safe.

"Thanks to everyone for their continued support and offer of help.

"I will be out later on searching and if everyone can please look in sheds garages etc.

"I honestly feel lost as to where to even look as all the obvious places have been checked. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Shaun's brother Alan organised a police-approved community search on Sunday but so far no trace of the dad has been found.

A further search has been organised for today, starting from the nearby town of Alness.

Alan has urged locals to check all possible hiding places for his brother as the family is "desperate" for answers.

He said in a new social media appeal posted this morning: "Can everyone please tag/spread the word to anyone in the Ross-Shire area who owns a farm, runs/has a yard, allotment, lockup’s, sheds, anything, to please be checking [them].

Shaun Banner was last seen on Saturday in Invergordon (Facebook)

"Anyone in Invergordon who has a CCTV camera can you please check you footage from the weekend to see if there is any sign of Shaun.

"We will be out searching today and will run the search from The Place in Alness from 11am. Someone will be there at all times to delegate areas to search. If you have a spare hour pop in.

"It’s so important we keep Shaun’s face out there, so every share means the world."

He added: "Finally my family could never put into words how much we appreciate each person who has come out to help us look and every message of support. Thank you so much.

"Please come home Shaun."

Shaun is described as 5ft7, with short brown hair, blue eyes and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing green and brown Crofter-style work trousers, a grey Rogue Attitude puffer style jacket, a blue RSE work top and grey, purple and blue Nike Air Max trainers.

Sergeant Claire Mackenzie from Alness Police Station said previously: “We’re becoming increasingly concerned for Shaun’s welfare as he has not been in touch with friends and family."

Anyone with information regarding Shaun’s whereabouts or welfare is asked to contact police via on 101 quoting incident 2300 of 23 April 22, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
