PART of a busy road to Glasgow has been closed due to an ongoing incident.
The A737 is shut between Howwood and Kilbarchan according to Traffic Scotland.
This closure has been in place since around 3.42am and drivers are being urged to find another route.
Meanwhile, some buses have been affected by the incident.
Stagecoach has said their X36 service will be diverted via Gateside, Lugton, Barrhead and the M77.

Police Scotland issued a statement revealing a road crash had occurred in the area.
It said: "The A737 is closed between the B787 at Howwood and Kilbarchan following a road crash that we were called to around 3.10am on Monday, September 23.
"A local diversion is in place."
