Dust2 – PARIVISION come alive at the end to steal the map – 13-11

PARIVISION kicked things off with a pistol win, but were quickly shut down by MOUZ’s forcebuy. Jame’s crew, thus, had to wait until round four to bring a full buy out. That buy, would prove quite successful, as the T-side popped into B, where BELCHONOKK hit the opening headshot needed to crack the site open. That kicked off the PARIVISION attack, as MOUZ were forced to save in consecutive rounds.

Round eight could have given MOUZ their first gun round, but Jame’s AWP-glock combo combined to mow down the retaking CTs in long, firing up coach Dastan, and the crowd alike. Jame’s control over the map continued through the half, with PARIVISION heading into the break ahead by two. MOUZ then switched to the T-side, and found their own pistol win to start the half.

Often touted as PARIVISION’s star, nota showed just how crucial the Jame-system is for their squad when he came into round 15 with an M4A1-s and no kevlar, with his economy instead fueling his leader’s AWP purchase. Unfortunately, though, MOUZ chose the B-site as their avenue of attack and took the map lead.

Brollan’s crew should have found double digits off the back of xertioN’s flying frag from CT, but PARIVISION shut the rest of the attack down brilliantly to jump back into the game. While MOUZ managed to pick up two more rounds, it was Jame and co. that controlled the economy, allowing them to close the map in regulation, 13-11.

Inferno – Jame thrives after 10-10 again – 13-10

Continuing on the CT side, PARIVISION started things off with a series of kills on A for a pistol win. While MOUZ did get the bomb down on B, Jame hit the defuse timing just right to snatch the round from under Spinx’s nose. torzsi nearly managed to steal one right back with just a P250, but nota just about defused the bomb to continue PARIVISION’s CT streak.

Eight rounds in, MOUZ finally found their first win, as xertioN found his first set of kills. Jame’s AWP, though, refused to hand too many rounds over to the T-side, as the IGL stood tall on balcony and helped his squad win their 8th round. The half closed with PARIVISION looking comfortably in the lead at 9-3.

Whatever sycrone told his squad during the break clearly worked, as MOUZ went on their own streak of CT rounds early, winning seven in a row of their own to take the lead at 10-9. With the scoreboard again reading 10-10, Jame was in his element. The Russian called his team into the perfect attacks round after round, taking match point first. And victory quickly followed, 13-10.

Editor’s Note: Despite MOUZ already beating PARIVISION in the group stage, the international squad was no match for Jame when the pressure built up. MOUZ make another top 4, but fail to go beyond once more. Meanwhile PARIVISION are making a case for being ranked far beyond what their level should be, given the trio of rookies that form their firepower core.

For MOUZ defenders, a top four finish is another result better than what G2, NAVI, and Falcons can muster. But a loss to PARIVISION, who would be outclassed by Brollan and co. in any other portion of the tournament, just adds further fuel to the “MOUZ need roster changes” argument.
