Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the Jamaican sprinting sensation and two-time Olympic champion, was unable to participate in her 100-meter semi-final race on Saturday due to an injury sustained during her warm-up routine after a delayed entry into the stadium.
The 37-year-old athlete, who has previously won two gold medals, a silver and a bronze in the event across five Olympic Games, was listed as a "did not start" on the official records.
