BENGALURU: Did women's shot-put national record holder Abha Khatua miss out on a place in the Paris Olympics for having failed to meet World Athletics' Differences of Sex Development (DSD) regulations?
Khatua's name missing from the Olympics entry list has been the talking point in national athletics circles for the last few days. With the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) confirming on Wednesday that 29-year-old Khatua has not made the final cut, sources told TOI that the World Athletics (WA) could have blocked her entry as she didn't comply with the regulations for the female classification.
