Paris Hilton has hit back at trolls who have mocked the size of her baby son's head.
Last week, the socialite, 42, posted pictures of her son Phoenix's first trip to New York City.
“My precious angel baby Phoenix's first time in NYC,” she wrote in the caption under a series of images.
But a number of fans then trolled the baby for the size of his head in the comments.
Now Hilton, who welcomed Phoenix nine months ago via surrogate, has hit back at the trolls, saying: “There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy.
“And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain.”
In another lengthy post on Instagram, the star wrote: “Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe.”
She added: “My baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic. Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life.
"It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.”
Hilton shares her son with husband Carter Reum, 42.
Earlier this year, the US socialite and businesswoman posted four black and white photos to her Instagram page to confirm their surrogate had given birth.
In February she revealed her son’s name was Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, and had wanted to choose a name on the theme of world cities, like herself.
“My whole heart. #MommyMonday,” she captioned the pictures.
Explaining the thought process behind the baby’s name on her podcast This Is Paris, she said she had wanted one with multiple meanings.
She added that her life now felt “complete” and praised Reum as an “angel and such an incredible father”.
“It’s amazing being a mum, it sounds so weird saying I’m a mum but I love it,” she said.
