A first class plane passenger has urged people to dump their children in economy class to enjoy the highlife.
If you've ever taken a look at the business and first class ticket options on a plane, you'll know that they are not cheap, often setting you back thousands of pounds each way.
This does beg the question of how anyone can afford to bring their whole family on a big holiday with everyone riding in first or business class. The answer may be - if TikToker Samuel Leeds recent video is anything to go by - that they don't.
In the clip Samuel can be heard saying "see you later" as he waves to his son and daughter sitting next to one another on a plane.
He then turns around and walks out of economy, through business and into first class, where he meets up with his wife who is already settled in and enjoying a glass of wine.
"Rich people, don't spoilt you kids," a voice over urges.
"Don’t worry, they were sat with their nanny," Samuel captioned the video, before reiterating: "Don’t spoil your children."
The tactics of the property investor were applauded by many people in the comments, who suggested that it was wise not to treat children to too many fine things.
"Respect, they will be in first class one day and feel that they earned it," one person wrote.
Another added: "Bros teaching them a valuable lesson and saving a couple quid too."
A third chimed in: "I love this! Your hard earned money not theirs. They need to learn to make their own. No excuses and this is a teachable moment when they get older."
A fourth, correctly pointing out that the young children don't work for a living, said: "His kids aren’t wealthy he and his wife are. Those kids don’t have jobs or an income."
Others were less certain that the child would learn a valuable lesson about hustle and respect, but would instead feel like they've been dumped in economy by their parents who would rather quaff wine than spend time with them.
"I dunno, seeing the little girl's smile drop as he turned away was pretty sad for me," one person wrote.
Another added: "'Spoiling' kids with things, out. Spoiling kids with your time and attention, in. That’s how you raise kids who aren’t entitled. This is all backwards."
A third wrote: "Umm you left your kids behind mate.. nanny or no nanny my kids are coming with me."
If you fancy a taste of the highlife but don't want to spend the enormous amount of money required to secure it, it may be possible to land a first or business class seat without paying extra.
Sometimes flight attendants are able to bump passengers up if they ask or if there is a spare seat going in the upper echelons of the plane.
According to flight attendant Miguel Muñoz, who has been flying the skies for more than 10 years, it is important to wear smart, clean clothes to be in with a chance of a free upgrade.
Miguel said: "I would say dirty clothes 100%. Sometimes passengers come on board looking scruffy, smelly, with stains on their T-shirts, etc.
"You can tell when they come straight from the beach and they haven't changed. I've even seen passengers boarding the plane in flip-flops and sandy feet!
"It's obviously not nice to have passengers like these and I would never upgrade them to the first class if I could.
"I also wouldn't upgrade smelly people or drunk passengers, or passengers who give me the impression that they are going to cause trouble."
