A man in his 20s has been arrested after a paramedic was assaulted during an emergency call out in Co. Donegal on Monday.
The incident occurred at around 9am on Kinnear Lane in Letterkenny.
The paramedic was attacked while they attended the scene of an incident at Justice Walsh Road, located in the centre of the town.
The man sustained non-life threatening injuries suspected to be a broken wrist and facial injuries.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí attended an incident of assault that occurred on Kinnear Lane, Letterkenny, Co Donegal at approximately 9am today, Monday, 21st March 2022.
“One man was conveyed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during this incident.
“A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested in relation to this incident and has since been released pending court summonses.”
